Thanks again to David Friedman for sharing such an important fundamental:

CHECK THE EGO AT THE DOOR. It’s not about you. Don’t let your ego or personal agenda get in the way of doing what’s best for the team. Worrying about who gets credit or taking things personally is counterproductive. Make sure every decision is based solely on advancing team goals.

Doug R: Check your ego at the door, Means exactly that. We are in a relationship business. If we are only concerned about ourselves we will not build strong lasting relationships. By building strong lasting relationships we will all gain success and better futures as a group. Let’s continue on the path together!

Jim S: The work environment today is moving far too fast for “I” to survive alone. It takes a team to accomplish what needs to be done today. Each of us relying on the team to support the dealer, promote our marketing programs and achieve the goals we are each tasked with.

Alex B: Someone said there is no limit to what you can accomplish if you don’t care who gets the credit……

Scott D: We are in a relationship business and with an ego, you can’t establish that relationship. As far as personal agenda it should always be to do what is right for the customer and not what is self-serving.

If everyone does this, everyone wins. That makes us a team.

Reading responses like those above are quite humbling to me. It is encouraging that we have individuals with this much depth to them. A special thanks to our team for their participation. We believe it is a privilege to learn something new each day. For more information, contact OCP here.
